Cat Eye Shell

Cat Eye Shells are used for protection against the evil eye, likely as they themselves resemble eyes, as well as for breaking jinxes. They have been historically traded among sea-trading people for hundreds of years, often set in gold and silver jewelry due to their natural cabochon shape. Much of the Cat’s Eye Shell jewelry was relatively common during the Victorian era, and hypothesized to have been gifts to lovers and female relations of sailors.
